Description:

The male copulatory apparatus differs from that of other species of the genus in the chitinous portion which does not lie in a plane. The terminal portion is irregularly twisted and the tip is bent nearly perpendicular to the axis of the main portion. The terminal opening is always truncated obliquely. The spermatozoa resemble those of M.tuba, consisting of a spindle-shaped head and a short tail. At a point between the head and the tail it has two long flagellae which are inconspicious by their rapid vibration. p. 78/79
