Dear New User,
You have recently registered for a user name on Macrostomorpha.info and this page explains some of the basic features of the site.
First, you need to know that there are six different levels of users:
- anonymous users are people that visit the site coming from the internet
- authenticated users are like you: they have registered, but not yet communicated that they want to contribute content
- contributors can contribute content, but that requires some additional instructions (see below)
- editors can alter content that was contributed by contributors
- maintainers can edit most aspects of the site (that is my role at the moment)
- supermaintainers are the people that set up the servers and the whole system
With your registration you have become an authenticated user and after logging in you will be able to perform some limited activities on the site. For example, I have created a file share for you where you can upload files (of up to 20MB) that you want to contribute to the site (you could use this, for example, if you want to contribute a PDF file for the bibliography).
You can access your fileshare by at http://macrostomorpha.info/content/fileshare-firstname-lastname (just replace firstname with your first name and lastname with your last name).
