I am in the process of implementing some changes that have unfortunately become necessary due to the shift to the Scratchpads v2. The main change is that I no longer host the specimen images and movies on the site. The user experience for browsing extensive specimen content is currently simply too poor.
I have instead decided to host all the specimen data in a public DropBox folder, which will allow the users to have rapid and convenient access to these files (i.e. you can view them online or download them to your computer, as you prefer). This also means that the static specimen pages and the specimen image galleries are gone.
That is far from ideal, of course, but I see no way of conveniently hosting that information at the moment. I hope that the Scratchpads team will make improvements to the ergonomics of the site.
More changes are to follow over the next days.
